Iv-Nevesbu b.v.
Founded in 1935, by then the leading naval shipbuilders and engineers of a country with some four centuries of maritime expertise, Nevesbu has been the center of experience and know-how in naval defence ship design and marine engineering in the Netherlands for more than sixty years. At present Nevesbu is a design and engineering company focussed on ship design, submarine design, maritime technology and marine engineering. The advanced expertise and experience gained in the naval defence industry is also applied in associated industries like the offshore industry, commercial shipbuilding and the process industry. Today Nevesbu can be characterized as a modern design and engineering company and consultant. Nevesbu is a privately owned company with RDM Technology Holding BV being the sole shareholder. Almost half of the Nevesbu staff consists of highly qualified specialists, holding Masters and Bachelors degrees in various fields of engineering such as naval architecture, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering. Nevesbu also employs many experienced designers and draftsmen. The close co-operation with technical universities and research institutes provides both direct access to, as well as a continuous growth of specialized knowledge. Over the years has designed naval defence surface ships, submarines, merchant ships, FPSO conversions and ship conversions. Consultancy projects comprised among others, feasibility- and reliability studies, risk and failure analyses, project management for third parties, design tool development, and fleet maintenance philosophy development. In the past ten years, Nevesbu has successfully joined a program for the application of military technology in the commercial industry. This effort was complemented with a new research program in industrial high technology. Today, Nevesbu provides research-, design- and engineering services to customers all over the world. Among these are the Royal Netherlands Navy, foreign navies, ship owners and operators, shipyards, dredging companies, offshore industry, process industry and governmental organizations. Main activities of Nevesbu are: - Design and engineering of surface ships - Design and engineering of submarines - Marine engineering - Offshore design and engineering - Maritime technology - Consultancy, supervision and surveys Nevesbu operates in principle as an independent design and engineering company. However working in partnership with other companies is also possible. This can either be done to increase the availability of manpower capacity or to obtain specific specialized knowledge. This can e.g. be done with one of the well-reputed fellow companies within the RDM Technology Holding Group: RDM Submarines, RDM Technology. |
